Abstract

The rapid growth of information and communication technologies has led to an increase in the scale and complexity of cyberattacks. Modern cyber threats exploit system vulnerabilities and bypass traditional security solutions, causing significant damage to critical infrastructures. This paper analyzes common cyberattacks based on the AVOIDIT classification model and provides a comparative study of widely used defense mechanisms. Detection accuracy, false positive rate, response time, deployment complexity, and real-time detection capability are considered to evaluate the effectiveness of each defense approach. The results highlight the strengths and limitations of existing security mechanisms and emphasize the need for intelligent and adaptive defense solutions.
