Abstract

The article broadly covers the art of pottery in the context of folk applied art and modern art of Uzbekistan. Starting from historical roots, the unique styles of the Rishton, Gijduvan, Shahrisabz and Khiva pottery schools are analyzed. The symbolic meanings of pattern, color and form, folk aesthetics and moral values are shown. The transformation of pottery into an object, installation and design element in contemporary art, its combination with innovative technologies and ecological trends are discussed. The article demonstrates the harmony of folk applied art and modern art through practical examples: a minimalist interpretation of Rishton secrets, the use of Gijduvan geometry in modular panels, the integration of national heritage into modern artistic life on the example of light-pot installations and educational projects. As a result, it is emphasized that the art of pottery finds its place in the understanding of national identity, tourism and cultural diplomacy, and is an important tool in the aesthetic education of the younger generation.
