Abstract

The name of Amir Temur is mentioned in world history as a great commander, a strong statesman and a geopolitical thinker. He caused significant political changes not only in Transoxiana, but also in the wider Eurasian region in the second half of the 14th century and the beginning of the 15th century. His activities are notable not only for his military achievements, but also for the complex strategy he pursued against external political threats. This article reveals Amir Temur’s geopolitical approach to external threats, his policy of combining force and diplomacy, and his role in establishing the balance of international power.
