Abstract

The rapid digitalization of education has transformed teaching, research, and administrative processes worldwide. Educational institutions increasingly rely on digital platforms, cloud technologies, and online learning systems. However, this transformation has also significantly increased cybersecurity risks. Universities and schools store large amounts of sensitive information including personal data, financial records, and research materials, making them attractive targets for cybercriminals. This study examines cybersecurity awareness in educational institutions, identifies major cyber threats, analyzes statistical trends, and proposes strategies for strengthening digital security culture. The findings emphasize that cybersecurity awareness among students, faculty, and administrative staff is essential to prevent cyber incidents and protect institutional data.
