Abstract

Gymnastics as a type of physical activity combines the aesthetics of movement, strength, flexibility and discipline. This article examines the physiological and psychological aspects of the influence of gymnastics on the development of the personality of a child and teenager. It analyzes how regular training contributes to the harmonious development of the body, strengthening the muscular corset, developing coordination and posture. The role of gymnastics in the formation of will, self-confidence, perseverance and emotional stability is also emphasized. The article is based on the synthesis of data from sports pedagogy, developmental psychology and biomechanics, which allows us to substantiate gymnastics not only as a sports discipline, but also as a pedagogical tool for character formation.
