This article analyzes the issues of integrating the heuristic method and the competency-based approach in the primary education system from a scientific, theoretical and practical perspective. It also highlights the mechanisms for increasing students’ learning activity, applying knowledge to practice, and developing metacognitive skills through the integration of these approaches in the activities of primary school teachers. The article shows effective methods for achieving competency-based results through heuristic questions, problem tasks, and interactive methods.Downloads
