Abstract

This article analyzes the psychological foundations and modern approaches to studying human mental activity. The introduction defines mental activity, its types, and functions. The main section examines classical theories (Piaget, Vygotsky) and contemporary cognitive models. The “Research Studies” section presents examples of neuropsychological and psychometric investigations focused on working memory, attention, creativity, and intellectual potential.
