Abstract

The topic “Psychology of Development of Preschool Children” is devoted to the study of the processes of mental development in the period from 3 to 7 years, which is one of the most important and sensitive periods of childhood. During this period, the child’s perception, memory, thinking, speech, emotional and volitional characteristics develop rapidly, and the initial foundations of his formation as a person are formed. This article analyzes the main factors influencing the mental development of preschool children - the family environment, the upbringing process, play activities and social relations. Also, the specific features of the child’s cognitive processes and emotional state, their stages of development are scientifically highlighted. The results of the study show that a properly organized upbringing and education process in preschool age is of great importance for the child’s successful adaptation to subsequent school life. Therefore, the cooperation of parents and educators, as well as the creation of a developing environment, are one of the main conditions for the mental development of children.
