DIALECT AND LITERARY ARABIC LANGUAGE: PROBLEMS OF PERCEPTION AND STUDY
Keywords:
Arabic language, Fusha, dialect, teaching, perception, bilingualismAbstract
The thesis examines the features of the relationship between literary Arabic (fuskha) and dialects (ʿammiya) in the educational process. It raises the problem of students’ perception of two parallel language systems that differ in vocabulary, phonetics and syntax. It analyzes the difficulties that arise when studying Arabic as a foreign language: lack of educational materials on dialects, choosing a priority option for teaching, difficulties in communicating with native speakers in a real environment. It concludes that it is necessary to integrate elements of dialects into the Arabic language teaching program along with the literary norm.Downloads
