ANTHROPOLOGICAL FEATURES OF TRANSNATIONAL TERRORISM: A COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF AL-QAEDA AND ISIS MODELS

Abstract

The thesis provides a comparative analysis of the mechanisms of transboundary terrorism, which transform perceptions of personality, belonging, social role, and global space, using the examples of Al-Qaeda and ISIS. At the same time, the methods of these organizations in forming a sense of transnational belonging in an individual, reinterpreting existing social identities, and implementing certain social roles are studied. The transformation of these mechanisms under the influence of globalization and digital communications, as well as the manifestation of terrorism in new forms in the virtual and transnational social space, are also analyzed.
