2026-06-142026-06-1461820FOSTERING ARTISTIC IDENTITY THROUGH UZBEK MUSIC PEDAGOGY AT UNIVERSITY LEVEL
https://integrumconference.com/index.php/icp/article/view/314
Artistic identity, understood as the musician’s sense of who they are in relation to their artistic heritage, their creative agency, and their professional community, is not automatically transmitted through technical training. A student may graduate from a university music program possessing considerable instrumental or vocal skill yet remain uncertain about their place within the Uzbek musical tradition or their capacity to contribute meaningfully to its future. This article argues that fostering artistic identity should be recognized as a central, explicit goal of Uzbek music pedagogy at the university level, rather than a hoped‑for byproduct of skills acquisition. Drawing on theories of identity formation in educational psychology and ethnomusicology, as well as case studies from the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan and regional pedagogical universities, the article proposes that artistic identity emerges from the integration of three interconnected dimensions: historical continuity, creative agency, and community belonging. For each dimension, the article describes pedagogical practices that strengthen identity formation, including genealogical repertoire study, guided improvisation within maqom and folk frameworks, ensemble participation with intergenerational components, and reflective writing assignments that ask students to articulate their evolving relationship to Uzbek musical heritage. The article also addresses challenges specific to the Uzbek context, such as the lingering prestige of Western classical training, the fragmentation of traditional master‑student lineages, and the pressure on students to achieve measurable performance outcomes at the expense of deeper identity work. The conclusion offers practical recommendations for curriculum design and assessment that prioritize artistic identity without sacrificing technical rigor. Mavluda AhmedovaMuminjon Muminov

https://integrumconference.com/index.php/icp/article/view/317
This article analyzes the impact of traditions and rituals on sustainable development in the conditions of New Uzbekistan based on socio-philosophical and institutional approaches. The purpose of the study is to determine the role of traditions and rituals in maintaining and restoring social cohesion, economic rationality, and cultural identity. The analysis is conducted on the basis of E.Giddens’ reflexive modernity, S.Hall’s hybrid identity, Z.Castells’ network society, T.Veblen’s conspicuous consumption, E.Durkheim’s collective energy, E.Hobsbawm’s “invented tradition” and UNESCO’s concept of intangible cultural heritage. Methodologically, the article is based on regulatory documents, official state portals, and scientific sources. The results show that traditions and rituals strengthen mutual assistance, trust, and civic solidarity at the neighborhood and family levels; at the same time, digital tools and urbanization are transforming them into hybrid forms that are reduced, visualized, and assimilated into the population. Along with social integration, the risk of excessive spending and status displays in weddings, mourning, Navruz, and memorial ceremonies is increasing. In short, for sustainable development, it is necessary not to “preserve” rituals, but to reorganize them in meaningful, economically sustainable, and socially inclusive ways. https://integrumconference.com/index.php/icp/article/view/335
Qobusnama is, from beginning to end, a didactic work, a collection of moral instructions presented as the advice of an elder to a young man, primarily addressed to those engaged in service or destined for rulership and political responsibility. In general, the work describes the social life of the aristocracy and outlines the principles of kingship, as well as court customs, traditions, and discipline. It emphasizes that royal justice, the peace of the subjects, and the proper conduct of soldiers and officials are ensured through obedience and prudent governance. Qobusnama is a unique work on political ethics. It justifies defensive war but does not advocate aggressive campaigns against neighboring states. Its central idea is that a ruler must always remain aware of broader political developments, show no fear in the face of potential conflict, and protect the people, offering guidance that was considered appropriate for its time. https://integrumconference.com/index.php/icp/article/view/338
This article traces the history of speech synthesis from Wolfgang von Kempelen’s 18th-century mechanical speech device - often overshadowed by his deceptive “Mechanical Turk” -to modern zero-shot text-to-speech (TTS) systems. Unlike early mechanical synthesizers that required manual manipulation, contemporary TTS uses large-scale, multi-speaker datasets, neural audio codecs, and language models to generate speech in unseen voices from short reference samples. The article also highlights key applications of TTS, including assistive communication (e.g., Stephen Hawking), hands-free reading, and human-computer interaction. S.U.Nasirov

https://integrumconference.com/index.php/icp/article/view/339
This article examines the growing importance of digital speech signal processing in fields such as cybersecurity, biometrics, and human-computer interaction, particularly in response to synthetic speech and deepfake voice threats. It traces the historical development of speech synthesis from early mechanical models (Kratzenstein, von Kempelen) to modern systems, while highlighting a critical gap: the lack of comprehensive TTS systems for the Uzbek language. The article discusses the technical requirements for building a Uzbek-language speech synthesizer - including phonetic modeling, prosody assignment, and acoustic feature extraction (e.g., MFCCs) - and emphasizes its potential to improve digital accessibility for visually impaired users and enable voice-based interaction in underrepresented languages. https://integrumconference.com/index.php/icp/article/view/343
Almost a century has passed since the emergence of uzbek cinema. The work of directors and composers who have dedicated themselves to the development of cinema over the past hundred years deserves praise. Music is one of the most important factors that makes a film more lively and impressive. As is well known, the advent of cinema marked an important turning point in the work of composers. Previously, composers created works for trio, quartet, symphony orchestra and folk orchestra, but now they began to create based on the essence of cinema. The work of one composer who tirelessly worked on such complex processes, Rumil Vildanov, is also unparalleled. In this article, we will examine some of his work. N.M.Turg‘unova
